A visit to North Woven Broom offers you a step back in time. Visitors to our shop, in the old log barn can watch while broom-makers Rob and Janet Schwieger carefully weave handcrafted brooms using antique broom-making equipment - producing beautiful and practical corn brooms. You can learn about this ancient craft, and try out different styles of brooms. We encourage questions! We are open March 1st, see the Contact page for details.

Our shop is located in a historic log barn along Hwy 3A, in Crawford Bay, B.C. Canada. We are one of a group of artisan shops on the East Shore of beautiful Kootenay Lake. Across the lake from Nelson, we are just 5 minutes from the Kootenay Bay Ferry landing,and one hour north of Creston, B.C. Owned and operated by Janet and Rob Schwieger, we are a family-run cottage industry. We welcome visitors to come and watch our craft. We are open March 1 to mid October.
