A visit to North Woven Broom offers you a step back in time. Visitors to our shop, in the old log barn can watch while broom-makers Rob and Janet Schwieger carefully weave handcrafted brooms using antique broom-making equipment - producing beautiful and practical corn brooms. You can learn about this ancient craft, and try out different styles of brooms. We encourage questions!

Our shop is located in a historic log barn along Hwy 3A, in Crawford Bay, B.C. Canada. We are one of a group of artisan shops on the East Shore of beautiful Kootenay Lake. Across the lake from Nelson, we are just 5 minutes from the Kootenay Bay Ferry landing,and one hour north of Creston, B.C. Owned and operated by Janet and Rob Schwieger, we are a family-run cottage industry. We welcome visitors to come and watch our craft. We are open March 1 to mid October.
